This is a warming blend just in time for late harvest chilly winds. Pecans are the American equivalent of the Walnut (Juglandaceae), and come from the Hickory tree. In Algonquian, Pecan means “nut requiring stone to crack” and were a plentiful staple of South-Central Native Americans and early colonies.
When pecans are toasted with oats, honey, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla the granola takes on a rich buttery flavor
